Ronda Rousey: “Don’t Be A ‘DO NOTHING’ Bitch”

Ronda Rousey tells you that today you shouldn’t be a DO NOTHING BITCH (D.N.B) and here’s why.

Don’t worry, if you don’t know who Ronda Rousey is, you’re not living under a rock; but you are certainly missing out on incredible motivation from an athlete who literally kicked ass to get where she is today.
At only 28 years old, Ronda has taken over the world of mixed-martial arts, by winning every single fight she has been in, and finished them in only 60 seconds.
Trained in judo by her own mother and inspired by the passion for sports that his dad installed in her during her childhood, Ronda went from being a stoner cocktail waitress living in her car, to one of the greatest athletes we know.
Even if her world know includes glossy magazine shoots and celebrity galas, Ronda was able to maintain her own candid and raw personality.
One of the most powerful message that I have got from Ronda is about the “Do Nothing Bitch” philosophy that Ronda has openly talked about in an interview. You can check out the clip about the DNB down below.

“I have this one term for the kind of woman that my mother raised me to not be, I call it a ‘do nothing bitch.’ The kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and get taken care of by somebody else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious when people say my body looks masculine. I’m like, ‘listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires, doesn’t mean it’s masculine.'”

No matter how successful and powerful you become as a woman, society is still going to scrutinize the female body and take any opportunity they can to shame it and belittle it.
Do we have to fall for it, ladies? Do we have to change our bodies and our ideas and dreams so that they don’t make everyone else feel uncomfortable?
Absolutely no.
We see empowering and unstoppable ladies with amazing skills and talents that are belittled and ridiculed only because their bodies are not what society would like them to be.
But above all, we are still so behind on fighting the idea that a woman without a man is not a woman. That you need to be taken care of, you need to be guided and supported by a man, otherwise you will never be able to accomplish anything.
And this sort of thinking is obviously incorrect, but how many of us have been swooning over Christian Gray, or we are always chasing the one who got away (aka the one who didn’t give a shit about you and still won’t)? Yeah, exactly. TOO MANY!
Ronda’s message might make us all feel a little uncomfortable, but she is right. If you keep waiting for someone to take care of you and who only values for your beauty and stops you from achieving your potential, then you are doing nothing with your life.
Her message was supported by so many other women, like BEYONCÉ, who decided to include her D.N.B clip during her concert, to introduce her “Diva” song; and Ronda even released a t-shirt collection to promote her philosophy that you can check out here.
So if Queen (Feminist) Bee is proud to support her among Maya Angelou and Eartha Kitt during her first performance after a long hiatus, THEN she is definitely a do-something bitch.
So today start doing things for yourself and do them by yourself. Every time you start to feel down because of a man doesn’t approve you or laughs at you, laugh like a maniac and just tell yourself that you are NOT a do nothing bitch.
